If you or your company carry out domestic electrical work, successful completion of the Part P course will mean you save time and money. ‘Competent Persons’ do not need to submit building notices or have their work inspected by Building Control, which means the work can begin in your own time and no fees are incurred when it’s finished.
As soon as you complete the course successfully, you can simply register with your preferred registration body and begin to self-certify your own minor electrical work. You’ll get more business and you’ll be able to charge higher prices for the service you’re providing.
Does It Apply to Me?
Applicants are not required to hold any electrical qualifications to complete the training course; it is particularly aimed at kitchen fitters, bathroom fitters, heating engineers and property maintenance engineers who want to be able to self-certify that their work complies with Building Regulations.
